Things to Note...

There are 4 main grades in CLRG Irish Dancing

Bún Grad

This is the beginners grade and can only be danced by dancers who have never won the particular dance in Bun Grad or who have never been upgraded

Tús Grad

The Primary Grade. This grade is for dancers who have won a particular dance in Bun Grad. Once you win a dance in Tus Grad you cannot compete in this grade again for that dance.

Mean Grad

The second highest grade. Dancers here are very close to the top grade and steps are harder again but similar to Ard/Open Grad. Dancers who win a dance in this grade may not compete in that dance in the age group that they have won it.

Open/Ard Grad

The highest grade. Dancers are of a supreme quality. Competitions may consist of Ard Grad solos, Priomh Comortas (Championship judged by one adjudicator) or Craobh Comortas (Championship judged by 3 or more adjudicators

N.B. Dancers in Bún & Tús grad must not wear solo costumes, wigs, make-up or tan.

Dancers wishing to dance at Feisanna must first of all get permission from the dance teacher as class costume/suitable clothing must be approved first.
